Description: This is Volume 3 only - the Atlas - of the three volume "History of the Army of the Cumberland: its Organization, Campaigns, and Battles" published in 1875 by Robert Clarke & Co (Cincinnati). Written by Thomas B. Van Horne at the request of Major-General George H. Thomas and based on the General's private military journal and official documents, this volume contains 22 campaign and battle maps, many fold-outs, compiled by Edward Ruger. It's in good condition. The red cloth boards show edge wear, rubbing, light soiling. The interior is age-toned but unmarked. All maps are present. Some have bent corners, creases, very light foxing. Map 9 is torn at the left side (see photo).
