It shows the location of the ancient city of Concepcion and its new location far from the sea after the city was rebuilt after the devastating 1751 earthquake. The map is oriented with north at the bottom left. The latitude and longitude are set in relation to the Royal Astronomical Observatory in Tenerife in the Canary Islands.
