HIGH SOCIETY BLUES - 1930 - OVERSIZED AUTOGRAPHED CAST PHOTO

Description: HALF PRICE HOLIDAY SALE!!! Stunning piece of vintage movie memorabilia. This is a 9 7/8" x 11 1/2" deluxe double weight (DBW) matte finish black and white photo of the cast and director of the film, High Society Blues, from 1930. This photo is one of a group of 15 photos that we acquired that were signed for a Fox Film sales exec, M. A. Levy. They are all exceptionally rare. This photo is signed nicely by Gregory Gaye, Joyce Compton, Janet Gaynor, Charles Farrell, William Collier Sr., Louise Fazenda, Hedda Hopper, Lucien Littlefield, and director David Butler Photo has a little curl to left and right as you can see from the overall shot. The first picture is a high resolution scan - couldn't fit top of picture as my scanner bed is too small. Photo is in nice condition with just some light wear overall to surface, edges and corners. Tiny corner bend at lower right and a couple tiny corner bumps at other corners. Edge ding at top edge toward left. Some writing on the reverse. Although photo is not authenticated, I believe these signatures to be genuine and am confident that they can be certified - the possible exception is the Louise Fazenda signature as it really differs from other examples I have seen - perhaps secretarial? Gregory Gaye is cut off at left and Hedda Hopper is cut off at right, indicating this may have been trimmed down for framing? Super rare piece.
