Description: Description Herbert Kegel Carl Orff Trionfi 2 SACD Hybrid TOWER RECORDS JAPANProduct introduction 100 years of Kegel's birth & 30 years after his death. The trilogy including the re-recorded "Carmina" is a definitive masterpiece on the former east side, which is also called the Jochum board. The delicate sound is a must listen!New and reprinted from the original ETERNA analog tape in the home country. Excellent recording board. World's first SACD!Mastering only in the analog area, direct DSD!Home country ETERNA original analog tape latest reproduction project SACD hybrid 10th Herbert Kegel (1920.7.29-90.11.20) made the world's first SACD of Orff's Trilogy trilogy, a masterpiece left in Eterna in the 1970s. Only "Carmina Burana" had a stereo recording in Eterna in 1960 (reprinted as 0301289BC in April 2019 for this project), but the other two were the first recordings. Since its release, these sound sources have reigned as the Yokozuna of the former East, which was called the DG Jochum board on the west side at that time, and are highly regarded even today as a representative recording of Kegel. This edition, which was re-recorded about 15 years after the devilish performance of the old edition, is characterized by a larger scale and more mature expression, and in contrast to the global evaluation of the Jochum edition, the local sound and music. It can be said that it is a recording with all the power of the former East Germany, which was achieved by the performers who had a sincere attitude toward. In particular, the chorus has a prominent level and expression, and these trilogy, in which the chorus plays an important role, is one of the works whose power is most demonstrated. The famous "Carmina Burana" has many performance opportunities and many recordings, but the other two works do not have much sound source. "Catulli Carmina" can be said to be a work in which the index finger does not move due to the special organization of only 4 pianos and percussion instruments other than vocal music, but it is stable including such power, accurate pitch, and pronunciation for important choruses. The reality is that there are few performances with a feeling, and in that sense, I am overwhelmed by the true power of the Leipzig Broadcasting Chorus that Kegel raised. In terms of content, it is unlikely that such a realistic performance will be performed. The realistic sound quality and sound of those days, and the feeling of air are exhibited only with high sound quality. Vividness is especially true for this reprint, and I am amazed at the radiation and vividness of its life energy. ~ For Kegel, "Carmina Burana" is his second recording. In the old recording, the expression that can be said to be bizarre left a strong impression, but in this recording, the skillful treatment of the chorus is enthusiastic. The honed skill of the conductor who organizes each voice and creates a clear balance shines. In the next two works, the percussion instruments are in the foreground, and the music is even more bold. The vivid rhythm unique to Kegel and the sharp narrative are the highlights. This decisive performance has been revived with high sound quality.-Excerpt from the commentary Atsufumi Suzuki (music critic) "At the time of this reprint, the master tape was air-fed from the label to the studio of mastering engineer Christoph Stickel who lives in Vienna, mastered in the analog domain, and then digitized as DSD for the SACD layer. Commercialized by using a separate system for PCM for the CD layer. In this project, we have achieved mastering in the ideal way currently possible. The effect is remarkable, and it is possible to reproduce the quality left on the master tape extremely faithfully, and mastering and direct DSD only in the analog area bring about a more sound quality effect. It is surprisingly clear and has a higher resolution than before, so you can expect further evaluation of the performance.Work informationMainConductor: Herbert KegelOrchestra: Radio-Sinfonie Symphony Orchestra OtherComposer: Carl Orff Contents Number of components | 2 sheets Edition | Remaster SongCarl Orff: Trilogy of Trilogy
