Description: Serigraph (silkscreen) by author Henry Miller ("Tropic of Cancer," "Tropic of Capricorn," "Big Sur and the Oranges of Hieronymous Bosch," etc.). In the early 1960s, Miller learned printmaking with Sister Corita Kent, a noted pre-pop-art printmaker who taught at Immaculate Heart College in Los Angeles. Miller and such other prominent figures in the arts as John Cage, Buckminster Fuller, Charles and Ray Eames, and even Alfred Hitchcock. This exuberant work by Miller is signed "Henry Valentine" in the silkscreen, and also signed "Henry Valentine Miller 1963" in ballpoint pen in the lower right-hand margin.
