Description: Wonderful candid photograph of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford on a traincar, from the collection of Sausalito photographer Isabel Porter Collins, ca 1920. This is a large version of a photo from Collin's collection. This photo is not notated but I have also listed a smaller version of this photo (now sold) that Collins has notated on the back: "Edison Ford +E in San Rafael (CA), photo by Boyd NWP 1920?" (NWP possibly refers to NorthWest Photographer?). Also included is another train photograph from the same collection and era, not sure if it shows anyone famous or not. Edison and Ford were good friends and often traveled together. I believe this is taken aboard Ford's private railcar Fairlane. It measures 8" by 10" on thick glossy stock and with slight bowing. (Photograph does not have purple watermark). I will be listing more original photographs from Collins' collection this week.
