Excellent and relatively difficult to find book in the ever-popular Crowood Aviation series - a comprehensive text is backed up with dozens of photos in both colour and black & white. A very useful book for those interested in the history of the Hurricane, as well as model makers. Here's an Amazon customer review (2009) which gives the book 5 out of 5 stars: the words are NOT my own and are used for descriptive purposes only One of the better Crowood offerings, with fewer instances of sloppy editing than usual, and rather clearer reproduction of photographs than is often the case. The text is well-written and thorough, with a good overall explanation of the multifarious campaigns in which the Hurri was flown. It should not be forgotten that Hurricane squadrons carried much more of the burden of the Battle of Britain than did the Spitfire ones.
