Description: CONDITION: Excellent, without defects of any kind. This porcelain plate was produced in France by Haviland & Co. Limoges between 1888 and 1896. It was produced especially for the Baltimore Maryland retailer, James Seth Hopkins Company. The plate measures 9 1/8 inches in diameter. The rim of the plate is contoured. The border is cobalt blue with bands of ornate, raised gilding. The center of the plate has a hand painted scene of young 18th century lovers. It is artist signed by E. Furlaud, a revered Haviland professional painter. The faces are portrait quality. Their costumes are rendered in exquisite detail. They stand out against a misty, forest landscape. This is a wonderful work of art you will be proud to own and display. #E524 IMPORTANT: PLEASE DO NOT PAY until you have purchased all the items you plan to bid on.
