Photographer Gordon HastingsI photographed this image of San Carpoforo Creek near the Hearst Castle in 1991 while taking a long, slow drive along Hwy 1 on the central California coastline. . It is an original gelatin silver photographic image, and has been printed using archival methods, and toned in selenium for permanence. The image measures approximately 11" x 14" - less edge trimming of borders. This image was printed from a 6 cm x 7 cm (2 1/4" x 2 3/4") negative and printed on Ilford heavy weight fiber-base warm tone photo paper. It is mounted on 16" x 20" Archival Methods Pearl White 100% archival rag board, with over mat of the same material. Each print is signed and dated on the front of the mount under the image. A photographer's label is on the reverse of the mount.I have been photographing the landscape of California and the West for over 55 years with large and medium format cameras, primarily with black and white films. The images I am listing are taken in California (Sierra Nevada, Owens Valley, Yosemite, the Central Coast, the Mojave Desert and Death Valley and Joshua Tree National Parks), plus sites in Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico. I have also taken several trips to Baja California recording the landscape, Spanish Missions and people of the small villages and towns along the way, as well as taking many cruises among the Midriff Islands photographing the marine mammals and birds of the Sea of Cortez.NOTE: I DO COMBINED SHIPPING OF LIKE ITEMS.
