Description: This model UH-183 Harrison under seat heater. New Old Stock (NOS) This heater was located under the drivers seat. This is the original 6 volt motor. If you want to run this defroster on 12 volts you will need to purchase a resistor for each motor which costs $17 ea. Speedway Motors sells this resistor their part number is 910-64102. Back in the 30s, 40s,and 50s the normal pressure on a vehicle radiator system was less than 12 psi. These heater coils have been pressure checked at 14 psi. Many cars of today run with 16 psi and higher radiator pressure caps. I suggest you make sure your radiator cap is no more than 12 psi. These heater coils were not designed to operate at any high pressure than this. This model of heater was used in the 1939 through 1949 GM cars.
