Description: This lot is for fans of Minnesota Twins great and Baseball Hall of Famer Harmon Killebrew. Items include a hand-signed 3x5 black & white glossy photo; 7 Killebrew baseball cards; and an empty but pristine aluminum bottle of "Killebrew" root beer. If you grew up idolizing the "nicest guy in baseball" as I did, you will appreciate this grouping of colorful memorabilia. The main prize, of course, is the autographed photo. You'll recognize the perfect penmanship Killebrew was known for, in this case executed in blue ink. As a 10-year-old, I wrote to the famous slugger around 1970 and nearly remember the day an envelope arrived with the Twins' "shaking hands" logo in the upper left corner, with Metropolitan Stadium as the return address. The baseball cards are in great shape, in holders, but I have not paid to have them graded. The 1968 Topps is surely the "best of the bunch" and it's in near-mint condition.
