This very well built fly rod is "state of the art" designed for Trout, Salmon, Steelhead, Shad, Striped Bass, Smallmouth Bass etc ...fly fishing. It is a GREAT casting fly rod. Balances perfectly in hand with an Islander LX 3.4 or Bauer SST 6 / CFX3 (5 to 6 ounce) reels. Will cast (single hand / overhead) 100 feet of RIO Outbound Short 6wt WFI fly line (235 grains) or Wulff Bermuda Triangular Taper floating 7wt ... comfortably no problem! The sweet spot for me on this fly rod is around 230 grain short head (30 ft heads) fly lines. Anyhow ...what's offered is nearly new. I've used this rod in lawn casting and fished it once for Spring time Shad & Schooligan Striped Bass fishing. This particular rod is awesome in that role. However I have other rods to fish in the spring. Ergo this fine casting tool is up for auction. The MSRP for this fly rod new is around $900 dollars USD. Sometimes you'll find it discounted to about $700. My starting bid is $400. What you see is what you get. The rod's blank is excellent MINT, a blue color. Two large stripping guides and large snake guides which I appreciate (to clear knots). The full wells cork grip is clean, slender & contoured with lots of perspective pics on that.
