The thirteen buddhist hanging scrolls are for the Shingon sect of Buddhism, and include the image of Kobo Daishi.The thirteen Buddhas are the guardian deities of the thirteen memorial services from the first seven days to the thirteenth anniversary of the death of the deceased.
