WHITE SPOTS AND STREAKS ARE REFLECTIONS AND GLARE FROM THE LIGHTING. Measures 8 1/2 inches wide to outer handles by 4 inches high (without handle up) and 5 3/4 inches deep (back to front closure). The hinge leathers have to small fissures but are sturdy (SEE PIC # 3 ). No cracks, chips, gouges or stains. I find some light surface scuffs commensurate with infrequent handling, cleaning and storage. . This lovely and well-made basket is clean, bright and ready for service and display.
