Description: St Januarius Single Decade Rosary This beautiful chaplet is dedicated to St Januarius - aka San Gennaro - of whom festivals are held every year in Naples and New York City, and whose 1700+ year old blood liquifies miraculously several times a year on certain dates - it last liquified on September 19, 2023 on his feast day! The image of this martyred 3rd century bishop on the medal is shown with him holding a book upon which sit two vials which represent the two vials of his blood. The 7/8" nickel silver medal and the 1-3/4" silver-toned San Damiano crucifix were made in Italy; the chaplet itself was designed and handmade by me in our home in the USA. The crucifix has the Prayer of Peace by St Francis of Assisi on the back, in English. (It's only half of the prayer but we include a card with the whole prayer plus info on the crucifix.) The eleven 8 mm beads are genuine Czech glass, faceted and fire-polished. The Our Father is a metallic gold/crystal bicolor; and the ten Hail Mary beads are a ruby/crystal bi-color. After prayers by the faithful, the blood will usually liquify; then the archbishop lifts up the reliquary and turns it to show the blood has liquified. If it doesn't liquify on certain dates it is said to mean that Naples is headed for some trouble such as war or natural disaster. The blood has sometimes also liquified when Popes visit and venerate the relic. All of which just makes us realize what a wonderful Church we have!Miracles are still with us!
