For nearly fifty years, the Waterhouse firm specialized in recreating designs for major museums and historical societies. Their factory in Chelsea, Massachusetts has been demolished and this item is no longer in regular production. SPECS: This is sold by the YARD. After you make your purchase, I will measure out the correct quantity and cut a piece just for you. Most orders will be supplied in one continuous piece; if two pieces are required to fill the order, additional yardage will be provided. The actual artwork of the border measures about 3 1/2" inches and has a horizontal pattern repeat of 6 1/2." I will be providing what i call an untrimmed "rough cut." In other words, I will be cutting this by hand off a bolt, and the edges (upper and lower margins) will be uneven! You will want your paperhanger to trim the border down to the precise 3 1/2" dimension. This is un-pasted. Printed on a medium weight paper; NO shiny vinyl finish! Although I am always reluctant to "describe" colors, I would say that this is printed in dark green and red on a soft white ground.
