Hand Painted Virgin Mary with Child Retablos Painting on Wood with Inscription

Description: This meas. approx. 10.50" x 10". There is hand scribed information painted on back as shown. Item appears to be made in seperate pieces with a stabilizing piece nailed across the bottom of painting that is part of the painting image. It appears that there was at some time a top stablizing wood strip with part of image, as there appear to be a couple of nail holes showing on the top area as pictured. This item appears to be heavily weathered with some surface crack splitting and paint loss wear chips as photos show. Pictures are also part of description. This is still a beautiful expressionist abstract style icon /folk art piece. This was purchased from an estate sale.
