Description: For your consideration is a Ham "II", bearing kit for reconditioning the old worn "egg shaped" steel bearings. These are brand new manufactured exact replacement bearings for the Ham "II" Rotators. Replacing those old worn bearings will give a much smoother rotation in your rotor and prevent possible "seize-up" of the motor. Ham "II" rotors use 98 bearings. Other "Ham type rotor bearings are on auction here on E-bay under my name "n3qkradio". I would advise changing all bearings at one time because the older ones may look ok, but in a short time they too will fail. Taking the rotor apart is not an easy task, so changing all the bearings at once will last a very long time.Now included in the kit is a liberal amount of Lithium lube grease to lube both bearing races. One race is on the bottom stationary part of the rotor and the other is on the rotation part (bell) of the rotor. Also included is a liberal amount of Marine Grade anti-seize grease to put on the threads of the bolts before putting the unit back together. This will make bolt removal much easier years later if the rotor should need to be taken apart. Corrosion and "welding" of the bolts occur when dis-similiar metals are joined together. Occasionally bolts will break because of the corrosive welding action of the two different metals as they form a bond over time especially in a salt air or wet climate area. If you have never undertaken the chore of changing the bearings, I will send you my step-by-step instructions describing the way I do it. Included in the kit are: 100 bearings, a liberal amount of Lithium grease, a liberal amount of Marine Grade anti-seize thread grease, and the step-by-step instruction booklet.
