I choose a price that I like within that range when I do this. As time goes on things that do not sell will drop slowly in price till they are sold. I should review 15 to 20 prices daily and note so in the listing. With 2500 plus listing I should review all prices about every five to six months, but as the number of listing increase it will take longer to get through all of them. If there is a wide variance on Amazon sellers prices with many sellers present I will choose the 2nd lowest price. Low ball sellers on Amazon represent a high risk for poor quality items. You do tend to get what you pay for. Used: Due to the lack of effective enforcement of grading policies on Amazon it is not an effective price guide for used. (The same of course applies to eBay). I try to provide enough detail in the description and hopefully a good enough picture so that you can see if this set meets your quality standards. Consistent pricing on Amazon in used condition happens every now and then so I do consider Amazon used prices. 04/11/2019: Amazon, Gungrave, USED, SSS = Super Saver Shipping. Using eBay only for used sets today, it is just not a cost effective use of time to look at the prices of single DVDs on Amazon. Bay UPC 013023228696: 3,4,4...$(31 Sellers) 04/11/2019 Initial starting point: 6.95$ seems a reasonable enough place to start. It is most likely in significantly better condition then the low price leaders. Why am I not selling on Amazon? On Amazon a good number of sellers use some form of auto pricing. These programs look at other prices and tend to reprice things daily(sometimes more often), the simplest is 1 penny less then the lowest cost seller with a bottom set for how low to go. I really don't want to spend the time on Amazon to play that game well. If a seller has 3000+ listing some form of auto pricing is probably in place. There are sellers who do not do this and simply charge a high price, at some point in time they will be the last seller who has something, very good profits can result from this, but you need to be willing to wait years for this to happen. With pricing eBay and Amazon are silos and pricing on one tends to not have a great effect on pricing in the other. On Amazon if I went in with a price of 39.95$ others would respond and sell it for 39.94$ and it will go down a penny or so a day till things stabilize at a somewhat lower price. Now many of the same games(There is more then one game that can be played on Amazon.) can be played on eBay, but they tend to have less of an impact, well, because it is harder to do price comparisons on eBay unless you are searching with a UPC code which tends to find all of a given item with that UPC that are for sell on eBay, string searches do not to find everything. For me the primary method of pricing on eBay is looking at prices on Amazon then doing a slow reverse auction, and restoring prices to a higher lever(sometimes) when a thing sells.
