Letter dated 1902 (September 4?). In the letter President Cleveland gives detailed instructions on train times, directions and pick-up instructions to Mr. Davis. The letter goes on to describe the current fishing expedition with the President and his friends. Running out of room to finish his thoughts, the final paragraph and Cleveland's signature have run over to the top of the first page. L. Clarke Davis was a prominent Philadelphia newspaper man, managing editor of the Public Ledger, and appointed as a member of President Cleveland's Assay Committee of 1894. Photos: 1.
