Description: Antique 19th century bookplate from the book titled "The Smith, Founder, and Ornamental Metal Worker's Director." Second edition. Published in 1824. Drawn and published by British architect Lewis Nockalls Cottingham (1787-1847). Printed by British lithographer Charles Joseph Hullmandel (1789-1850). Plate # LX - Grecian, Roman and Etruscian detached and continued ornaments, for borders, friezes, etc. from drawings and casts in my possession. Hallmarks: Drawn and Published by Cottingham Arch't. 1823 - Printed by C. Hullmandel. Dimensions: Length 14" x Width 11". Condition: Tiny chips and tears to edges and corners of paper. Toning and foxing to paper. Perforations to left margin from original binding. Two pinholes to image. Light soiling.
