Description: Presented is a set of 12 great French porcelain plates from 1870s. The set displays a gorgeous orange pattern with classic French scroll and leafy details around border with a gold edge. The design seemed to have an applied darker orange border with the light orange being hand painted. There is a stylized monogram at the center at each bowl, a W and T, interwoven, made up of the orange style decorations and pink roses to make up the letters. The underside of each plate is marked “Ernie Du Bac Paris”, and “71” maybe for 1871. We have other pieces in this pattern. We encourage you to view our page or reach out if you are interested in more of this collection. The plate set is in very good overall condition. We are selling this as a set of 12, however you will receive 16 plates. As seen in the photos, there is a lot of variation in the condition of the gilded edge and the center monogram. 4 of the 16 plates have some issue: a crack, or chip, or repair. 12 plates have no cracks, no chips and no repairs. The orange border are mostly still well-defined. Diameter: 9 1/4 inches -kc Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
