The pattern is simple, but elegant; a deep grey with platinum banded borders. The underside of each piece is marked with the Gorham logo in gold: “GORHAM / Fine China / U.S.A.” Only the dinner plates have the “CONTESSA” marked below the logo. This service for four includes the following: 4 Tea Cups, 4 Saucer Plates, 4 Bread Plates, 4 Salad Plates and 4 Dinner Plates. Twenty pieces total. Each piece is in excellent condition. We examined each piece in the service for wear/signs of use and did not find any, including utensil marks. The set may not have been used by the previous owners; if used, it was very gently. Measurements: Each tea cup stands approximately 2-3/8" in height and measures approximately 4" across the rim. Each saucer plate measures approximately 6" across in diameter. Each dinner plate measures approximately 10-7/8" across in diameter. All measurements are approximate, but close. Condition: We carefully examined each piece in this service. NO Chips, Cracks, Nicks, Scratches, Crazing, Utensil Marks, Stacking Wear, Stains, Repairs or Restorations were noted. The platinum bands are free of any scratches or discoloration.
