The twisted glass rods of the handle has been applied separately. Stopper is a good fit and free of any damage to it's base. A few flat areas where the diamonds meet up, but they do not distract. I'm sorry I have no information on this piece after hours of searching for it on line. I do not recognize the pattern as one of the standards so I'll have to say it's rare and beautiful to behold.
