Description: Vintage "Good Wood Era" Les Paul Standard 1998 *Relisted due to non-payer*Serial number is 9XXX85XXA beautiful player from the middle of this legendary era of Gibson guitars. She is all original and includes OHSC + truss rod tool. At some point there was a partial headstock break (not a complete tear away) that was repaired properly. I sent a picture to Gibson, and they said that they do not have historical repair records; however they told me it appears to be consistent with how they repair breaks. There is no paperwork included. You can barely feel the lines, and some places do not feel at all. She holds tune very well, much better than my other LP which has the old green keys. I personally think these are the best tuners Gibson ever used. Has the original electronics, with the late 90's routing and ground plate. Weighs between 9.5-10lbs according to my bathroom scales. There are dings and scratches all over, and some rash on the back. Amazing tone and sustain that you won't find in the newer models, any LP collector would love to own this one. Think about how much the 70s-80s models have increased in price over the past 10 years, right now the 90's models are affordable but eventually will skyrocket in value. What is good wood era? From 1990-about 2004/2005 Gibson upped QC to compete with PRS (which was gaining ground with rock guitarists). It is well documented and for everyone who says there's no such thing, these people are ignorant or just flat out lying.
