Golden Book PROMOTIONAL or PROOF Grover Monster at the End of This Book RARE

Description: This Golden Book is not your normal one. I'm not sure if it is a promotional book or it may be a proof book. I've had it for decades but have never been able to locate any information on it specifically. I've never seen another one like it. It is The Monster at the end of this Book, it does not have the price nor a book number on the front cover. It does not have a letter anywhere near the binding as far as I can see. Its inside cover is simply blue paper, not the usual golden character pattern. Its inside back cover is the same simple blue paper, again not the usual golden character pattern. The back cover is the same blue color with a short blurb in a cloud, not the usual, colored pattern of characters. In addition, it is bound with what appears to be some sort of string. It is written by Jon Stone and illustrated by Mike Smollin, copyrighted in 1971 by the CTW. The book is in great condition with no rips or tears, and no missing pages. We are a non-smoking, no pets home.
