Description: Made by a company called Gold Tone Products out of New York City. Very very rough guess made sometime between late 1940s and late 1960s. Things like this would normally be made in Taiwan or Korea or Occupied Japan. If it was much older than my guess it would probably be made with solid brass not a gold-toned zinc. There are older ones out there than this with slight variations (possibly by a different manufacturer, presumably English), but this is about the shiniest they come, with a metal bust and metal base and possibly cork or something similar under the velvet to receive the pins as pressed through. There are a few dings/very minor breaks (no chunks missing and no looseness) to the metal in fairly inconspicuous areas, I had to really hunt for them. It looks like possibly only one pin has ever been put into this, at least recently. Any older pinholes in the fabric have since been closed in or smoothed over.
