Description: This is an original painting that was created for me for my book cover. The artist is Jen Bladel who is known for her wall murals in the tri-state area. It is 24 inches wide and 13 inches tall. It is professionally framed. It was painted in 2012. I was hired in 2010 by Pay Gesualdo to help create a rock project based around his Italian ancestor Carlo for Sony or BMG along with a 2 year world tour. In early 2011 at the time I was transposing the classical arrangements for a rock band I got t boned in my Cadi and had my neck broke. My hands were damaged as well I was unable to play keyboards for a year. So, I decided to write a book in the mean time based after the 2003 Sleepy Hollow release titled Goin' Over. I grew up in Lodi where many of my childhood friends ended up on hard drugs. It broke my hear but I knew there was nothing I could do to change it , so I created a whole art rock project to release it from my soul. Hopefully helping others to get through what I was going through. I needed a cover, so I asked Jen, who is an incredible and so inventive artist. I explained the story to her and the concept. I wanted a baby at the far end of the George Washington Bridge who has just shot up heroin and is dropping the needle on the New York side. I wanted the moon with the devil's face on the New Jersey side. The saying Goin' Over came from the 80's where is someone was going to NYC from NJ, the would say, I'm Goin Over. you need? It was a code. The concept for me was, I would hear people say junkies should just die, but, if that same person was a baby, they would do everything in their power to help them. But, people forget, that junkie was someone's beautiful baby at one time and something happened in their life to lead them to the drug. Jen did such an amazing job, she even got a ticket for trespassing while she took photos for the base of the painting. I told her I like hidden images in art. She did, with every brush stroke from her words. It wasn't until years later I noticed things, like, the baby's hand are held in the same position as I would play my duel keyboard set up. many other things, but, I don't like explaining art. It ruins the experience. I am selling this painting, though personal to me, because I haven't recovered well from the accident. I need to sell it to survive. I put the price on it that I felt would help me on my feet, but, I will take a fare offer. I own the copyright to the image and will sign the rights of use to the owner if they wish. Thank you kindly, please feel free to ask any questions. I will also donate 10% of the sale to NA
