Description: The roll up J-Pole antenna is perfect for use with GMRS and MURS radios. Ideal for use in a variety of settings, including camping, hiking, and other outdoor activities, this antenna offers excellent performance when compared to the stock rubber duck antenna. The SWR is generally less than 1.8:1 across the GMRS band and generally less than 1.9:1 across the MURS band. These are affected by local conditions. Designed for use primarily on the GMRS band, these are also useable on the MURS band. All connections are weather proofed and sealed with marine grade heat shrink. The antenna comes with 10’ of RG-58 coax that terminates with a BNC connector. Also included is 10’ of paracord to hang the antenna. Can be used outdoors as well as indoors as long as it is away from other metal objects that will degrade performance. Antenna rolls up easily to fit into a cargo or backpack pocket. The roll up j pole is also a good low profile base station antenna for sensitive areas.
