Description: Up for auction is a Gloor Craft Models HO scale Erie Wood Caboose craftsman kit. The model is a Erie Railroad prototype and includes full SMP decals. The model has cast cupola parts, brake gear, cast steps and window frames . The balance of the kit is wood construction with some cast metal parts and assorted detail parts made out of brass wire or small metal parts. This kit was introduced in the 1990s as a reissue of the original Quality Craft Models Erie Wood Caboose kit. The kit features detailed instructions and a prototype photo. Typical of models of this type and age, trucks, car weight and couplers are not included. This model takes some skill to construct, but produces a fine distinctive model for those with patience and skill. Recommended upgrades: 1. Weathering and flat finish after decals are applied. 2. Proper car weight (4 oz. minimum) 3. The correct trucks - finding these may take a while. This item ships USPS Ground Advantage by itself.
