The stainless steel housing protects the motor that deactivates in approximately 1" of water. This safety cover is for a 14' x 28' pool but the actual cover measures 16’ x 30'. The additional 2 ft. overlap on each side provides extra material to securely anchor the safety cover to your deck or surrounding perimeter.
