The hardware consists of a pair of tubular metal arms that run up the side of the bike to provide a location to put a plate that the case will attach to, either Monolock or Monokey, firmly positioning the case just beyond the passenger seat. All parts needed to mount the top case hardware are included and it installs using simple hand tools. Installation requires either an M5 Monokey Plate Kit or an M5M Monolock Plate Kit.
