Description: Gil Elvgren 52 American Beauties Plastic Coated Playing Cards – Creative Playing Card Co. – Printed in USA – Circa 1950s “This is your private collection of beautiful girls from the master hand of Gil Elvgren.” Complete deck of 52 playing cards plus 2 joker cards, each with a different Elvgren pin-up portrait except for one joker card printed with artist Gil Elvgren information. The deck measures 2-1/2” wide, 3-5/8” tall and 3/4" deep. The cards have a black hat over a pair of white gloves on an aqua blue background. Each playing card and one joker has a title or name, the Elvgren signature in script and a tiny ©U.S.A. Brown & Bigelow manufactures playing cards under several brand names, and has manufactured cards for Creative Playing Card Co. The box has been opened and shows typical age-related wear including some tears on the sides by the flap. The cards are in excellent vintage condition, clean with no tears or bent corners. Questions?
