Aside from being know as the premier Aviation Artist (with tabletop books and tons of awards) of our era, he has also done illustrations for Executioner and Destroyer Comics. This is a rather unusual book in that it is the soft-covered version of the Senior book which was much cheaper for the students to purchase. The only difference between this soft-covered version and the full, hard-covered version is that this one does not have the block of posed Senior head photos; however it has all of the Gil Cohen ARTWORK and a HUGE posed head photo of Gil as the Artist for the yearbook (which is much larger, and basically the same as his posed Senior photo!) Thus you get all of the artwork he did in this book (and there is PLENTY), AND a larger version of his posed Senior photo (pix 2). What makes this a very special book is that it contains what may be some of his earliest published art. There are at least FOUR full pages (three are shown here and there was also another full page to the Bear Mountain comic scenes) and many more smaller cartoons of his within this book. The book is in EXCELLENT OVERALL CONDITION given that it is 60 years old and soft-covered!! The cover has some minor creases; otherwise, this book is absolutely lovely!
