Description: Rambouillet by Faiencerie De Gien Hand-painted large French faience platter in Gien's Rambouillet pattern features an image of a running deer against a stylized woodland background. Marked "Gien France" with a company castle mark used between 1938 and 1960 or between 1960 and 1971. Rambouillet was designed by Jean Bertholle in 1955. This deep platter is currently unavailable on the Gien website or in North American stores. Excellent condition with a small chip on the underside on one edge. There is also a small blemish on one edge which appears to be have been made during production. Dimensions: 17.5" length, 12.75" width, 1.25" high or 1.75" high
