Gibson Custom Shop Murphy Lab 1958 ES-335 Reissue Heavy Aged Dirty Blonde This is an anniversary model produced to commemorate Gibson's 130th anniversary, and is a collectible model with only 130 units of each color. It uses Murphy Lab's Heavy Aged, and has many dents and weather checks that look like they were used in intense gigs and tours. The size of the cutaway part, commonly known as Mickey Mouse, is also a feature. Hide glue is used for adhesion, and not only the sound but also the specifications are reproduced to be the same as the vintage. The finish is Dirty Blonde, which has turned amber color over time. The deep blonde color is very cool and creates a sophisticated atmosphere. The neck shape is 1958 Dot Profile, which is a fat neck shape. Unbound, no neck binding, as seen on early 1958 ES-335s Pickups are Custombucker Alnico III (Unpotted) The clean sound is beautiful, but the 1958 Dot Profile neck shape gives it a rich mid-range feel. Of course, it can be used for rock, but personally, I recommend it for blues and jazz playing. Please enjoy it.
