Description: The Ghana 50 Cedi banknote from 2015 features the six leaders of the United Gold Coast Convention. Its front design bears a portrait of Kwame Nkrumah, Ebenezer Ako Adjei, Edward Akufo-Addo, Joseph Boakye Danquah, Emmanuel Odarkwei Obetsebi-Lamptey, and William Ofori Atta. The Freedom and Justice arch in Independence Square, a stack of nine gold bars, a cocoa pod in green-to-blue SPARK, and a star is also printed along with the portraits. Its reverse side features gold bars and the Christiansborg Castle, the seat of the government building in Accra. The banknotes security features include a watermark image of Tetteh Quarshie, cocoa pod, electrotype 50, cornerstones, and a red-to-green windowed security thread with demetalized GHANA 50. The note measures 149 x 74 mm. This banknote has been given a grade of 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
