Description: Gettysburg Battlefield, Civil War Dug Relics found at the "Wheatfield". The Gettysburg Battle was fought July 1-3, 1863. It has been said that one of the bloodiest battles fought at Gettysburg happened at the Wheatfield on July 2, 1863. The 19 acre field of wheat changed hands between the Union and Confederates six times. There were over 6,000 casualties at the Wheatfield and surrounding woodlots. I purchased these dug relics from Robert Haifley, of Upland, California on March 14, 2019. Listed here are a just few items, from the original batch of relics, I purchased from Robert: one suspender clasp, one small equipment buckle, one fired three ring minni ball, two fired busket balls, one small brass button. Historians have indicated that the most famous of all Civil War Battlefields, is Gettysburg. Dug relics from Gettysburg are highly sought after, especially those that were recovered from the Wheatfield area of the battlefield. These items will make a nice addition to your Civil War collection. I will include a hand signed letter by me highlighting the provenance for these items.
