On the air from 1930 to 1947, the program was the second longest running program during the golden age of radio (after *Amos and Andy*), and it moved to television from 1949-1955. Signed by Gertude Berg, as well as by fellow cast members Alfred Corn and Rosalyn Silber, who played Molly's children on radio. Berg, who also won a Tony for Best Actress for *A Majority of One*, was one of the female pioneers of radio and television.
