Roth South Bend, Indiana, manufactured by Unger & Schilde Ltd. of Roschutz Porcelain Manufacturer from Roschutz, Thuringia, Germany, Pink, White and Yellow ROSES w/Heavy RAISED GOLD THORNY STEMS, GOLD Trim Smooth Rim w/FINE BLACK Line next to Gold Rim, circa 1909-1916 DESCRIPTION: The beautiful plate was decorated using the pink, yellow, green, grey on white with black and gold color palette. This is exquisitely hand painted and most eye-catching. The cabbage roses have raised, heavy gold for the thorny stems. This is on the high white of the porcelain and has beautiful embossing next to the reticulated handles. The smooth rim has a wide gold band separated from the white of the porcelain by a fine black band. CONDITION: While this plate is classified as used, the condition is superb. There are no chips, nicks, cracks, rubbings, scratches, crazing or hairlines. The gold trim on the rim does have age appropriate wear. Otherwise, there is no paint or gold wear. See the photos. DIMENSIONS: The plate measures 10 3/4" handle to handle and has a diameter of 10 1/8" with a height of 1 1/2". HISTORY/MARKS: John H. Roth & Co. was established in 1909 in Indiana. Three Crown China is a mark introduced by Unger & Schilde of Roschutz Porcelain Manufacturer from Roschuetz, Thuringia, Germany. It was specific to items imported and distributed by Jon H.
