Description: Up for auction is a Germany 1933 E 5 Reichsmark Martin Luther, Muldenhutten/Dresden issue KM#80, NGC MS-61. Only 10 mint-state known examples at NGC, this coin is extremely scarce with a total mintage of only 12,000 pieces, right alongside the Karlsruhe issue. By far the nicest and possibly undergraded 61 we've seen. Reverse of coin looks like MS-64, however the obverse knocks it down with a small gouge at 12 o'clock. Strong luster and original surfaces show hints of a light crimson peripheral toning along the edge, while the edge itself shows a deep blue tone, evident of being stored in a collectors album over the decades.
