Description: Original German WW2 M40 Helmet. Outer shell has the issue field gray finish, @90% with a few minor dings. No signs of there ever having been a decal.and there is some green camo splashing towards the rear of the helmet. Liner pins are tight to the shell. Inside has the same finish marked with what looks like "IN 4*4" on the center rear flange below a faint "Q 66." Looks like the oriignal liner with a certain amount of wear, one torn finger tip, and chafing though it appears to still have the original drawstring. Leather is ink marked "58." These Quist helms always seem more solid than the average helmet from that era. Domestic SH&I will be $25.00
