Description: Medal of George IV, birth and death dates, gold gilded over what appears to be brass(?) based on tiny contact specks at rims. The medal is 44 mm diameter. The gold color, gilding is still in nice condition and uniform over the surfaces. At the 3:00 o'clock and 9:00 o'clock position on the obverse, there is a small area of slightly dark color, and slight surface irregularity.The obverse shows a left facing portrait of George IV. Around the border is "GEORGIUS IV DEI GRATIA". On the reverse there is a crowned burial container or casket in the upper half. In the foreground is a representation of Britannia in an attitude of mourning or sadness. There are two other females figures on each side. Below the figures is "DIED JUNE 26, 1830. OBSEQUIES AT WINDSOR JULY 15, 1830." Around the border is "BORN AUGt.12, 1762. ASCENDED JANy.29, 1820. CROWNED JULY 19, 1821".
