KAUFMAN and MORRIE RYSKIND musical comedy "OF THEE I SING" at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City. (The revival would open May 5th, 1952 at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City and run for only 72 performances.) ..... The original production of the Gershwin's "OF THEE I SING" opened December 26th, 1931 at New York's Music Box Theatre and was the first musical awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
