The image depicts the manor above the treetops, with clouds on the top right. The Cliffdale Manor sits of the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Alpine, Bergen County in New Jersey.It was built in 1911 as a summer home for George Zabriskie, a wealthy businessman who made money in the flour trade.Currently there are only ruins of the large mansion left. The etching is titled “Cliffdale”, written in pencil in the lower left. In the lower right the artist wrote in pencil “Ge A Zabriskie”.The print is matted, framed and ready to hang.
