Vacuflo TurboGrip & EZGrip low-volt hoses will have their logos on them; standard Vacuflo no-volt (no switch) hoses will not.All genuine Vacuflo no-volt & low-volt hoses will have their Button-Lock in a different position then the rest of the industry (see included pictures). The placement of the Button-Lock on genuine Vacuflo hoses is approximately 1-15/16" from the end; the rest of the industry places the Button-Lock at approximately 1-3/8"... The placement of Vacuflo's Button-Lock, when used with genuine Vacuflo wands, makes for a better air-tight seal. F.A.Q - Vacuflo offers two styles of TurboGrip hoses for use in different wall valves. The first is used with the proprietary VACUFLO-STYLE automatic inlet valve; this style inlet valve usually activates the vacuum system as soon as you lift the little valve door open, regardless if the hose is inserted or not. It also usually has 4 screws securing it to the wall. The TurboGrip hose used w/ this type of wall valve will have two metal prongs on the hose end (the end that inserts into the wall valve) that will insert into two small openings just above the larg opening on the wall valve... The second type is used with UNIVERSAL-STYLE inlet valves. Universal inlet valves come in many shapes and sizes and used by many different central vacuum manufacturers (including Vacuflo). They all have two small metal electrical contacts INSIDE the round opening (on the wall valve) that you insert your hose into. These metal contacts are usually spaces 2-4 hours apart. The TurboGrip hose used w/ this type of wall inlet valve will have two semi-circular bands on the hose end (the end that inserts into the wall valve) that will make an electrical connection with the two small metal contacts inside the opening...
