Description: For sale is one tube of Liquitex Oil Paint Naples Yellow oil paint in the 37ml tube. This is new unused and unopened older stock. Formerly sold under the Permanent Pigments label produced in Ohio, the company was bought up by Binney & Smith and produced in Pennsylvania under the Liquitex label. The tube is around 45 years old. This is Genuine Naples Yellow pigment PY41 Lead Antimony and NOT a hue or other substitute/mixture. I have listed the paint as used even though it is unused and unopened because of possible condition issues: 1.There is some disintegrated cork inside the cap and on the top of the tube. This can be carefully removed with an x-acto knife. (years ago, cork was used as the buffer//gasket in the cap to create a firm seal with the tube of paint)2.As the paint tube is older the paint is somewhat stiff and may need to be massaged/worked kinetically to soften it to enable squeezing the paint out of the tube. You can then soften to desired consistency with your favorite painting medium.3. There may also be issues with a paint plug in the neck of the tube (easily scooped out with an x-acto knife) 4. The tube has superficial dents, dings and oil seepage stains as well as possibly a brittle tube that requires re-tubing. The above-mentioned potential issues are common with vintage paint tubes, are easily remedied and not necessarily will happen/occur. Just that I believe in 100% honesty and transparency and would much rather cite a potential issue that doesn't happen than not mention the possibility and have a valued customer be surprised or disappointed.
