Description: Found in the bottom of a box long in storage from the Rio Grande Valley of Texas is this incredible find of a program from a performance of the General Platoff Don Cossack Choir in Harlingen, Texas. The Don Cossack Choir was comprised of exiled Cossacks who had supported the Tsar in the Russian revolution, and toured the world, performing in Washington DC with President Truman in the audience, and in Carnagie Hall. Somehow, they made their way to Harlingen, Texas for a performance, sponsored by the 8th District Federation of Music Clubs. What makes this find unique is the patron appears to have gotten the autographs of 4 choir members on the back of the program. For any collector of Don Cossack Choir memorabilia this program is a must have!
