Description: As an Astronomer, who's own special areas of interest have always included Meteors and Meteorites, I'm always looking for a cool, appropriate shirt that I can wear while giving one of my lectures or public presentations. I haven't found any new ones in years and the ones I already own have been getting more and more faded and have developed holes, limiting their usefulness. So, I turned to a friend who's company prints T-shirts and told him what I needed and how I wanted it to look. His artist created this design to match my thoughts! I am very proud to have helped to create this shirt design as the artist did a PERFECT job of capturing my idea! If you are looking for a shirt that will shout its message from across a room, this is NOT the design you want. This is more of a subtle, quiet and muted serene sort of scene, with several shooting stars from the Geminid Meteor Shower streaking across the sky from the radiant in the constellation of Gemini and through Orion (both featured in a sort of planetarium-like sky with their connect-the-dot outlines drawn in), while the images of the stars and meteors are reflected in the still surface of the lake, all while some light source softly glows in the distance behind the hills, illuminating some low, thin clouds. This whole night scene seems to loom out of the darkness of the shirt, sort of like being there, sitting on the edge of the lake and observing the meteors yourself! You can almost hear the crickets chirping in the background...except the Geminids occur in December and here in PA, all the crickets have probably long since frozen to death!
