Gebruder Heubach, Girl Blowing Bubbles, 13” (H)

Description: This wonderful Heubach figurine is an antique gem from Lichte, Thuringia, Germany, and dates to the late 1800’s. Unmarked. This is a figurine of a nicely dressed girl, probably in her early teens, making soap bubbles seated on a wood bench. The piece captures the expression of a child being focused on play with her gaze locked on the large bubble coming out of the pipe. The pipe and bubble are removable. The girl’s face and clothes have the characteristic features of a high-quality Heubach figurine evidenced in the intaglio eyes, eyelids, feathered eyebrows and gilt detailing. Characteristics only found in large figurines like this one. The figurine is a perfect addition to any collection, Gebruder Heubach and doll collectors and would make a thoughtful gift for a special occasion or loved one. Condition - The figurine is in excellent condition. The color and gilt are in great condition. The pipe and glass bubble are not original. There is a tiny chip on the bench’s back (marked in picture). The glass bubbles in the soap dish are not original either but add realism to the piece (included).
